Dying people and their families often turn to their faith communities for support during illness, or when they or someone they love is dying. But even clergy can feel inadequately trained to care for people coping with the complex array of medical options and decisions that often surround a person's last days.
To help faith leaders care for the dying, Coda has offered a yearly conference on end-of-life care for clergy, pastoral care professionals, and chaplains in the Santa Clara County area in October.
