Previously Funded Services:

Trainings

  • Respecting Choices (Two-day Advance Care Planning Facilitators' Training) A training series on advance care planning facilitation skills for professionals or volunteeers. These trainings are funded in part by a special certificate from Rallying Points, a Robert-Wood-Johnson sponsored national initiative for community-based efforts in improving end-of-life care.
  • Helping People Prepare: (Group-leader training program) We recruit volunteer community members for training to lead and facilitate interactive discussions with community groups on how to "break the ice" and begin conversations about end-of-life care.
  • Facilitated Discussions

  • Talking It Over: (Discussion Groups) We provide trained facilitators for local discussion groups. We are actively seeking community groups (clubs, faith communities, support groups, etc.) to schedule and assemble discussion groups to "break the ice" and begin talking about end-of-life care at the grass-roots level in the community.
  • Volunteer Advance Care Planning Facilitators are available by appointment
  • Speakers

Coda Alliance affiliates are available for speaking engagements on a variety of topics (advance care planning, pain control, legal and ethical issues, hospice care, communication with family and with physicians, and other topics) for a variety of audiences (service clubs, clergy, book-discussion groups, faith communities, etc.)
