Use Pain Assessment Tools In Translation

New York's St. Vincent's Hospital translated pain scales into sixteen different languages, including Japanese, Chinese, Pakistani, Polish, Greek, and Spanish. One Breakthrough Series team, Wisconsin's United Hospital, translated the visual analog scale (VAS) into Hmong. All of these translations can be ordered, and some can be downloaded, from the Mayday Pain Resource Center.
